Executive Medical Office: medical guidance and support for your executive team
Medical orientation, access and coordination by Health Prime.
When a member of your executive team receives a serious diagnosis, we organise the records and a senior physician explains the medical options that go beyond standard treatment. Your company funds access to this service.
A service of the Health Prime Medical Family Office.
For companies that fund a standing medical contact for their executive team as part of a BGM partnership (workplace health management).
Our Medical Director is Prof. Dr. med. Paul Mohacsi.
The Health Prime Medical Family Office supports you personally and independently through a serious illness, and your family if you wish. One team works on your case from the first call to follow-up care.
Senior physician guidance
A senior physician reviews your records, discusses them with you and writes down the precise question that still needs an answer, together with the next step that makes sense.
Access to specialist medicine
When a second opinion or an examination by a specialist is worth it, we choose the specialist or centre for your question, request the appointment and send your medical file ahead with your consent.
Coordination
Your care coordinator organises appointments, prepares you for conversations with doctors and goes through them with you afterwards. We send records and reports between hospitals and countries, with your consent.
Continuity
We stay with you through treatment, rehabilitation and follow-up, including when the goals of treatment change. Family members you name receive the updates you have agreed to. You do not have to tell your story again to every new team.
What your company books
Your company books the Executive Membership. Orientation and a Care Mandate follow when they are needed.
All three are available only as part of a BGM partnership with Health Prime, and the Health Prime Medical Family Office carries them out.
01
Executive Membership
A care coordinator, your medical file and an annual review.
For whom
Named members of your executive team. Your company confirms their eligibility in writing.
+Included
An admission conversation
Setting up and maintaining each member's medical file
A dedicated personal care coordinator, with a named deputy
An annual review with a senior physician: a conversation and a look at existing check-up results, not an examination

Medical Orientation and Care Mandate at member rates
These terms apply for as long as the BGM partnership runs.
–Not included
A Medical Orientation or Care Mandate in case of illness (billed per case), examinations, check-ups, treatment, third-party services, insurance of any kind.
For employees: if your Health Prime screening, for example for heart and circulation, bowel cancer or melanoma, shows an abnormal finding, the professional who carried out the screening can offer you an orientation. Using it is voluntary, and your employer does not learn whether you use it or what the finding was.
For whom
Employees of a company that has a BGM partnership with Health Prime, after an abnormal finding in a Health Prime screening.
+Included
One conversation with a senior physician about the finding
A written next step
Handover of the next step to your GP, with your consent
–Not included
Further examinations, treatment, fees of external specialists and hospitals, ongoing coordination, emergency help.
You can also take the finding straight to your GP.
We accept each Care Mandate and each Membership after a conversation, when the right medical expertise and capacity are available. If, after a first look at a case, we cannot help in a useful way, we tell you before any payment is due.
For HR and the executive team
As part of a BGM partnership with Health Prime, your company books the membership for its executive team. Your company names the members who take part and confirms their eligibility in writing. Each person also signs their own participation agreement with Health Prime, alongside the company contract, which sets out who the client is and who learns what.
Your company pays for access to the service. Medical information stays with the person concerned, and your company receives only aggregated, anonymised figures for groups large enough to prevent identification of individuals (see Confidentiality).
If a member of the executive team receives a serious diagnosis, their care coordinator and senior physician already know their medical file.
If the partnership ends, the person can continue their membership privately in the Private Medical Office.
Your company clarifies tax and social security treatment with its fiduciary or tax adviser.
Executive Medical Office is a service, not insurance. Examinations and treatment are paid by you, your health insurer or your employer under a separate agreement.
Confidential call. You tell us by phone or video what has happened and what you want to know. We tell you whether and how we can help.
Records. With your written consent, we request your reports, imaging, pathology and lab results from hospitals, clinics and practices, in Switzerland and abroad, and put them together in one medical file.
Senior physician orientation. A senior physician reviews your file and discusses it with you by video or in person. You receive a written orientation report.
The next step. We coordinate what the report recommends: a second opinion, an appointment with a specialist, or staying with your current team.
We stay involved. With a Care Mandate or a Membership, your care coordinator stays responsible for your case, at contact times agreed in writing.
Useful to have ready for the first call
Please do not send anything yet. It helps if you can find:
Medical reports and discharge letters
Imaging on CD, USB stick or as a download, ideally in DICOM format
Pathology reports
Recent lab results
A list of current medication
Your question, in one sentence
Who works on your case: the Health Prime Medical Family Office
The Health Prime Medical Family Office, a division of Health Prime AG, handles every case with one team, whether a private client or a company engages us.
Medical Director
Prof. Dr. med. Paul Mohacsi, specialist in cardiology and general internal medicine. Partner doctor at Hirslanden Klinik Im Park and Klinik Hirslanden. Languages: German, English, French, Italian and Hungarian.
Care coordinator: organises, explains and coordinates. Does not diagnose and does not recommend treatment.
Senior physician: leads the medical orientation of your case. Our senior physicians hold a specialist title and have experience as a senior hospital physician (Oberärztin or Oberarzt) or in a higher position.
Specialists: chosen for each case. They keep their own professional responsibility.
Treating physicians: decide on treatment together with you.
Medical assessments are made only by licensed physicians. Our team coordinates, explains and organises.
How we choose specialists
We choose specialists by your medical question, their specialist title and their experience in the field. Your language, location and preferences count too. You decide which specialist you see.
Health Prime belongs to Prime Public Media, the publisher of medizinonline. Through our publishing work we know specialists in many fields across Switzerland, which helps us find the right person for your question. The publisher is also funded by pharmaceutical advertising. Case work is kept separate from it, as set out in our independence policy.
Our independence policy
Published by the Health Prime Medical Family Office. As of 10 October 2026.
Health Prime receives no referral commissions, kickbacks or other benefits from hospitals, clinics, laboratories or doctors.
Health Prime pays no referral fees to advisers, family offices or anyone else who refers clients.
Money from pharmaceutical or medical technology companies has no influence on any case decision. Case work is kept separate, in organisation and finances, from the publishing and advertising business of Prime Public Media (medizinonline). Publishing staff have no access to case data. Client data are never used for publishing or advertising.
Health Prime does not arrange insurance and receives no payment for doing so.
Health Prime owns no hospitals or practices and has no agreements on preferred access. Staying with your current treatment team is a valid recommendation.
The physicians involved disclose any conflict of interest for each case.
The Health Prime Medical Family Office's income comes only from fees paid by clients and companies.
Confidentiality
Whoever pays does not see findings unless you explicitly consent. This applies to family offices, family members and other payers. Employers receive no health data. Medical information is passed on only with your explicit consent, and only to the extent you set.
If your employer pays, it does not learn whether or why you use our service. The one exception: if you choose to have your company pay for a Care Mandate, it learns that a mandate exists. It still receives no medical information. It receives only anonymised, aggregated figures, and only for groups large enough to prevent identification of individuals.
The physicians involved are bound by medical professional secrecy (Article 321 of the Swiss Criminal Code).
What we do not do
We are not an emergency service. In an emergency, call 144 or 112 in Switzerland, or the local emergency number abroad.
We are a service, not insurance, and we do not sell or arrange insurance. Examinations and treatment are paid by you, your health insurer or your employer under a separate agreement.
Our care coordinators do not diagnose and do not recommend treatment.
We do not operate or treat. Your treating physicians do.
We do not replace your treating physicians.
We give no guarantee of an appointment, admission, a place in a clinical trial or a result.
We suggest a different place of treatment only when it changes something for your question.
We are not available around the clock, unless your mandate says so.
We do not pass health data to employers, and to other payers only with your explicit consent.
What second opinions show
Among 286 patients referred from primary care to Mayo Clinic's general internal medicine department for a second opinion in 2009 to 2010, the final diagnosis was distinctly different from the referral diagnosis in 21 percent of cases (Van Such et al., Journal of Evaluation in Clinical Practice, 2017).
A systematic review of 33 studies of second opinions that patients sought on their own initiative found that they confirmed the diagnosis in 50 to 57 percent of cases and changed it in 13 to 15 percent (Greenfield et al., BMJ Open, 2021).
A changed diagnosis does not mean the first one was wrong. Whether second opinions improve treatment outcomes has rarely been studied.
That is why every Medical Orientation first checks whether a second opinion makes sense for your case.
What is Executive Medical Office, and is it a medical procedure?
id: faq-what-is-executive-medical-office
Executive Medical Office is medical orientation, access to specialists and coordination by the Health Prime Medical Family Office, paid for by your company. It involves no medical procedure and no treatment; your treating physicians examine, treat and operate. Your company books the Executive Membership for named members of its executive team. Employees can use an Orientation after a screening, and a member who falls seriously ill can agree a Care Mandate on request. More under Executive Membership.
Who in our company can take part, and who decides?
id: faq-who-can-take-part
Named members of your executive team. Your company decides who they are and confirms their eligibility in writing. Each person then signs their own participation agreement with Health Prime, which sets out who learns what. Other employees do not receive the membership. After an abnormal finding in a Health Prime screening, they can use the Orientation after a screening. More under For HR and the executive team.
Can our company pay for the executive team's membership without seeing health data?
id: faq-company-executive-team
Yes. Within a BGM partnership, your company books the membership for named members of its executive team and confirms their eligibility in writing. Each person signs their own participation agreement with Health Prime. Your company receives organisational and billing information, plus aggregated, anonymised figures for groups large enough to prevent identification of individuals. It never receives findings, and it does not learn whether or why a member uses the service. A Care Mandate on request is a separate mandate. The rules are under Confidentiality.
How should our company report the membership for salary and tax purposes?
id: faq-salary-reporting
Health Prime does not give tax or social security advice. Your company clarifies tax and social security treatment with its fiduciary or tax adviser. The relevant rules are the guidance on the salary statement (Lohnausweis) from the Swiss Tax Conference and the Federal Tax Administration, and the rules of Swiss social security (AHV). For the conversation with your adviser, we give you a written description of the services included in the membership. More under For HR and the executive team.
After an abnormal screening finding, do I have to use the orientation, and who finds out?
id: faq-screening-finding
No. The orientation after a screening is voluntary, and you decide whether to use it. If you do, a senior physician goes through the finding with you in one conversation, and you receive a written next step that we hand over to your GP with your consent. You can also take the finding straight to your GP. Your employer does not learn whether you used the orientation or what the finding was. More under Orientation after a screening.
What happens if a member of the executive team becomes seriously ill?
id: faq-executive-serious-illness
The care coordinator already knows the person's medical file. If the case needs ongoing support, the member can agree a Care Mandate: a separate written mandate at the member rate, paid by the member or, under a separate agreement, by the company. Your company receives no medical information about the case. More under Care Mandate on request.
When is a second opinion worth it, for example before surgery or cancer treatment?
id: faq-when-second-opinion
Before a decision that is hard to reverse: major surgery, the start of cancer treatment, or a plan you do not fully understand. A second opinion can also help when a diagnosis is unclear or when your doctors disagree. In a Medical Orientation, a senior physician reviews your records first and tells you whether a second opinion makes sense and in which specialty. Sometimes the answer is that your current plan holds. More under What second opinions show.
Second opinion on cancer: who reviews the case?
id: faq-second-opinion-cancer
A senior physician reviews your records first and narrows the question, for example whether the diagnosis, the stage or the planned treatment needs a second look. We then choose an oncologist or another specialist whose field fits that question, at a hospital or practice anywhere in Switzerland, and send your file ahead with your consent. Some reviews need the original pathology material, which your hospital sends directly. The specialist keeps their own professional responsibility. How we choose specialists is set out in Our independence policy.
How quickly can a member of the executive team see a specialist?
id: faq-specialist-appointment
The time to a specialist appointment depends on the specialty, the urgency and the region. We cannot guarantee a date, because hospitals and specialists keep their own schedules. We send the specialist a complete, ordered file with a precise question, so they can decide on that basis whether and when to see the member. More under How it works.
What happens to the membership if the BGM partnership ends?
id: faq-partnership-ends
The terms of the Executive Membership apply for as long as the BGM partnership runs. After that, each member of the executive team decides whether to continue the membership privately in our Private Medical Office. If they continue, the contract is with them directly, and their medical file stays with them. Case work stays with the same team, because the Health Prime Medical Family Office runs both services. More under Private Medical Office.
Request a confidential call
Call us to arrange an initial conversation. We do not need any medical details for this. The first call is without obligation, and if we cannot help in a useful way, we tell you before any payment is due.
We ask for medical documents only once a mandate has begun, through a separately agreed document channel. Email is not a secure channel for health data.
We are not an emergency service. In an emergency, call 144 or 112 in Switzerland, or the local emergency number abroad.
Asking privately, for yourself or your family, in Switzerland or abroad? The Private Medical Office is our service for private clients.
